I’ve had a question sent in regarding applying a three median regression line to a time series plot. Applying regression to time series data is the same as applying regression to the other scatterplots and data sets we’ve looked at in the Core chapters, so you follow the same steps. This question is a bit of a beast though because it has a trick at the end regarding how to round up or down decimals numbers when you’re referring to discrete variables… You’ll see.
The question comes from the Maths Quest textbook (published by John Wiley & Sons Australia, 2009), exercise 4B, question 3.
23/4/2011 -- GAH!!! I just watched that back again. Could I waffle any more at the end there? I said the same thing about “a part of a person” about 15 times. Sorry folks. I make rambling an artform. Anyway hopefully you get the idea by the time i repeat repeat repeat myself enough times….
